Dr. Matt Waymeyer from the Expositors Seminary has written and in-depth critique of Reformed Eschatology or historic Amillennialism. His book, Amillennialism and the Age to Come: A Premillennial Critique of the Two-Age Model, argues that Amillennialism cannot interpret OT passages that he believes suggest the presence of an “intermediate” kingdom that fits neither with the present order of things nor does it fit with the Bible’s teaching of the eternal state. The difference between the premillennial and amillennial view continues to present serious divergences in hermeneutics and theology.
