2016 brought about many blessings for RedGrace. To begin it gave me a platform to speak on three aspects of life in Christ I love. We are Evangelical, Evangelistic and Reformed. First, the gospel: we are Evangelical, meaning gospel-centered. Our love of the gospel keeps us focused on why we exits. This also keeps us from being overly distracted with things that really don’t matter enough for me to dive into. It also reminds me to keep our message pure and faithful to Scripture. We are Evangelistic, meaning that we seek not only to do evangelize but to call the Church at large to greater evangelistic zeal. We believe so strongly in spreading the gospel and making Christ known in the salvation of sinners through the gospel. God gave me yet another exciting year of open-air preaching at the campus of UNT, the University of North Texas where I have been open-air preaching since 2007. Can’t believe its been that long. Finally, we are Reformed, meaning that we continue to be uncompromised on the doctrines of grace and the Reformed tradition. This is very important to us for a number of reasons. It allows me to work unhindered. So many faithful brothers I know are operating in ministries where they are not allowed to be explicit about Reformed theology, we don’t have that problem. We also are very careful in our ministry partnership. We want to remain pure in our commitment to the Reformed tradition. In 2016 we did this mainly be defending Calvinism, proclaiming the sovereignty of God, and diving into subjects like Biblical Theology (in the tradition of Vos, Beale and Clowney). The Emmaus Conference, which we run through Heritage Grace Community Church was a tremendous blessing and challenged me to grow in ways that have truly enlarged my view of the supremacy of Christ in all of Scripture! Also need to thank several special people. First, Robert Reece, or as I like to call him, Red-Rob, for his tech-savy-magic (still trying to find something he can’t do). Robert is the man behind the curtain making it all happen, can’t do it without him. I am grateful for his gifts and heart to serve both on the website and RedGrace Radio podcast. My wife, Trish, who does so much behind the scenes and simply too many labors to recount here, God has the record. Numerous others like Ryan Hawley, Christian Johnson, and Julio “Chafi” Charneco for his amazing graphics design as well as Peter Kappes for his amazing videography (much of which is still forthcoming). We have tried over the course of the last year to present the Church with articles, episodes, conferences and media resources that will encourage people in their faith and devotion to the Lord. RedGraceMedia is not for everyone, but for all who support both financially and prayerfully, Thank You.
Looking Ahead:
2017 promises to be a great year for RedGraceMedia. First, the forthcoming book, Crucified: The Soul of the Gospel. RedGrace will be publishing through Amazon my second book on the gospel. We are developing a system of editing, formatting and through Amazon, printing and publishing that will likely result in several forthcoming resources both large and small. Please pray for us regarding this endeavor.
Second, Unpopular. The film project that I have been working on for a year with James White and Paul Washer. Our hope is that this resource will be spread to thousands in the advancement of the gospel and the salvation of sinners. My earnest prayer is that Unpopular will be an “open” evangelistic tool that anyone who desires to share the goodnews with someone will utilize freely and liberally to the glory of God. A very special thanks to those who financially supported this project. I look forward to the impact this film will have for years to come.
In addition to Unpopular, we hope to generate future media that will be of great use to the body of Christ. There are myriad of various projects we desire to do. Future conferences, books, video projects we hope will come to fruition. Please keep this all in prayer for us.
Third, We have a conference booked for 2017 that we are praying will turn out to be a tremendous blessing. Heritage Grace will be putting the Emmaus Conference on hold for an evangelistic conference, The Summit on Evangelism (Oct. 13-15 2017 Dallas TX). We hope to continue to partner with meaningful ministries that share our passion for Evangelism, Apologetics, and Reformed theology.
My prayer for 2017 is that God will use RedGrace for what we envisioned it to be, a multi-media platform where people can come and find meaningful resources that will further the gospel, edify the church and enrich our understand of Scripture. Finally, we desire to fulfill all of the vision before us but not alone. We want partners who will agree with us in prayer, support us through social media and partner with us financially to see our ministry needs met and our ministry ambitions fulfilled. Give yourself to the Lord and then to supporting us if you have been encouraged by our ministry.
Soli Deo Gloria
“Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you”
